We believe in one God, the one supreme, eternal being, who revealed Himself in Scripture as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the creator of the universe, all knowing, ever present, all powerful, personal, loving and just. We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, who is fully God and fully human. We believe in His miraculous birth, sinless life, miracles, death as a sacrifice for our sins, bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven to be seated at the right hand of God the Father, and His return to earth in power and glory. We believe that because God loves us He sent Jesus to shed His blood and die on the cross as a substitute for us. Only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and Savior, can we receive forgiveness and new life in Christ. To not place faith in Jesus Christ results in eternal separation from God and eternity in Hell. We believe in the Holy Spirit, sent by God to be at work in the world and in our lives. He reveals sin and truth and provides us with comfort, inspiration, wisdom, power, and instruction. The Holy Spirit enables us to have faith in Jesus, live godly lives, and be an effective witness for Jesus Christ. We believe that God created us in His image. God wants us to glorify Him, enjoy Him, and live in relationship with Him. However, sin entered the human race in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve first chose to disobey God. As descendents of Adam and Eve, we are born in a state of disobedience to God and separation from Him. We believe the Old and New Testament Scripture is the inspired Word of God and the final authority in life. We believe that the Church is called to live in obedience to God and Scripture as a nurturing community of faith who loves God and one another. Together, we worship God, study, pray, fellowship, and encourage each other as we grow in our faith. God has given each of us a unique role in the church and calls us to use the gifts and talents He has granted us in His service and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our families, friends, community, and the world.
Our Vision We have a vision of people being excited about knowing God through Jesus Christ and worshipping Him through the Holy Spirit. This vision gives us our ministry goal: Helping people become wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ.
If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, here is a sample prayer. Remember, saying this prayer or any other prayer will not save you. It is only trusting in Christ that can save you from sin. This prayer is simply a way to express to God your faith in Him and thank Him for providing for your salvation. "God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I turn away from my sin and place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!"
