The One-Eighty youth ministry at GCC seeks to partner with parents in helping them in their responsibility to be their child's main discipler. We want to extend layers for student care that help families grow and become mature Christ followers. As the Body of Christ we're striving to be one giant family "On a mission" trained up and obedient to Christ's call to go, and make disciples.
Our youth ministry serves the youth, and the parents of youth, in 6th through 12th grade.
Youth Activities--Monthly activities, celebrations, and church events are scheduled throughout the year for fellowship and outreach. Summer camp for middle school students and a high school mission trip are scheduled activities for Summer 2019.
Sunday Morning Lite Breakfast/Scripture Chat--Sunday morning at 10:15-11:00AM (6th-12th grade) meet in the lobby of the church for a time of food, fellowship, prayer, and practical lessons from God's Word.
Mid-Week Youth Ministry-- 6th-12th Grade--We emphasize activities that will be fun, Bible study, regular fellowship, personal evangelism, and discipleship. For fall we are planning on having archery night, art club, and a hike to the Painted Mines.
Mission Trips--Each year a trip is planned to involve high school students directly with missions. Requirements for this trip include completing a 30 day devotional, journal preparation, scripture memory, Christian service, and regular church attendance.
